Accessibility
Cloud Campuses wants everyone to be able to use the Datacenter Atlas, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we've done
- Every facility can be found with the search box, and the results are a regular list you can use with a keyboard or screen reader. You don't need to click the map.
- Facility details, links and the form for attaching links are ordinary text and controls with labels.
- Buttons and links show a visible outline when they have keyboard focus.
- The Site follows your device's light or dark setting, and text gets larger with your browser's zoom.
- The map jumps instead of gliding to a facility if your device asks for reduced motion.
Known limitations
- The map itself is a drawn image. Screen readers can't read the facility squares, roads or city names on it. Use the search box to reach the same information.
- Panning and zooming the map needs a mouse, touch or trackpad. The + and − buttons work with a keyboard, but you can't move the map with arrow keys yet.
- Links added by visitors and pages on other websites may not be accessible. We don't control those sites.
